Castel Volturno

The Villaggio Pinetamare arose in the second half of the sixties near Naples, in the place where the coastal dunes of Castel Volturno were. Self-sufficient, with elementary, middle and high schools, banks, shopping malls, hotels, clubs, swimming pools, a marina, a police station, a church. And it was well connected with Naples. A dreamy natural landscape, pine trees and an endless beach. Unfortunately the village was built on public lands without a license, then it was declared illegal and closed. Today the village lies desert.
